Lecture/Demonstrations

These are one- to two-hour presentations that give a short background on Alexander and his story of discovery and to introduce the basic concepts of the Alexander Technique. Depending on the size and interest of the group, the lecturer may give a brief practical demonstration to a member of the audience. Lecture/Demonstrations are also suitable for large groups and to auditorium-style spaces. For a complete list of scheduled lecture/demonstrations and other events, visit the calendar of events.

I have taken Alexander lessons for many years, and have found that it has helped both my professional and personal life enormously. As a violinist and violist, the lessons have enabled me to find an effective way of dealing with the many daily tensions that arise. While many of my colleagues suffer debilitating back and neck pain, because of the Alexander Technique I remain relatively free of such tensions.
