Faculty

Those who have satisfactorily completed a minimum of two years as Assistant Faculty at ATSNE are invited to apply for a faculty position. The application process is similar to that for Assistant Faculty. Individuals who are selected have demonstrated their high level of commitment to the profession and suitability for the position by: developing the necessary skills for teacher training; contributing to the growth and development of ATSNE; participating in the development of the profession through volunteerism in AmSAT; developing teaching skills through maintaining a private teaching practice; and demonstrating a strong commitment to their own continuing professional education.

Faculty members assume a role of increasing responsibility on the training course and in the administration of ATSNE. A faculty member’s active participation on the course is flexible to best suit the combined needs of the school and the faculty member. Faculty members have the option to assist the Director on evening seminars for interns and post-graduates, and on teacher refresher courses.
