Directions to Alexander Technique School New England

FROM
MASS PIKE HEADING WEST – Take Exit 8 in Palmer. Go
right after the tollbooth and travel a mile or so to the
center of Palmer (until you can not go straight any further).
Turn right, and at the next set of lights bear right and
follow signs for Route 181 to Amherst. You will need to
keep watching the signs and make sure you stay on Rt. 181 all
the way to the center of Belchertown. That will be about 10
miles. You will come to a light in the center of Belchertown
(at the town common) and you will continue straight for about
one more mile to another traffic light at the intersection of
Rt. 9 and Rt. 202. Take a left onto Rt. 9 West and continue
for approximately 6 miles. You will see a sign, “Amherst Town
Line.” Continue an additional 2 miles; veer right at second
light past a small Fleet bank onto South East Street. Take
next left at light onto Main Street and continue 0.6 miles.
Turn right at first light onto Triangle Street. Lessey Street
is the first street on the left. ATCNE is at 94 Lessey Street
the second house on your right.
FROM SOUTH – Take Rt. I-91
North to Exit 19 in Northampton. Bear right at the bottom of
the ramp onto Rt. 9 East towards Hadley and Amherst. You will
go approximately 6 miles (past several shopping centers) and
then up a long hill (without any commercial development) to a
traffic light at the center of Amherst. Turn left at that
light onto South Pleasant Street. Continue to the next light
and turn right onto Main Street. Turn left onto Churchill
Street (this is the first intersection you come to; there is a
police station on the righthand side). After about fifty
yards, bear right going up the hill. You are now on Lessey
Street. The School is located at the top of the hill on the
left at 94 Lessey Street.
FROM NORTH – Take Rt. I-91
South to Exit 20. After the ramp continue straight to the
first light. At the light turn left onto Damon Road. Continue
on Damon Road until it ends at a light at the intersection of
Rt. 9 and Damon Road. Turn left at light onto Rt. 9 East
towards Hadley and Amherst. Follow the same directions listed
above as coming from South.
FROM
MASS PIKE GOING EAST – Take Exit 4 in West
Springfield. Follow signs to Rt. I-91 North. You will go about
10 miles to Exit 19 and follow the same directions listed
above as coming from South.
