Code of Practice

The teacher does not treat, diagnose, or promise to cure specific ailments but instead educates the student to acquire skills for positive, healthful, and independent choice and conscious change.

The teacher does not represent the Alexander Technique as a substitute for medical care and recommends that the student seek appropriate medical care for any physical complaints and symptoms.

The teacher does not give specific recommendations to the student concerning alternative health care (unless fully trained in a specific discipline) but instead represents the benefits and limitations of the Alexander Technique fully and accurately.
